The Joy Gospel singers are organising a concert next Sunday at 7.30 p.m. at Sta Lucija parish church in aid of the Vicki Fund.

Vicki Sciberras, a 37-year-old occupational therapist, became wheelchair-dependent after she was struck by a coach while getting out of a car on March 10.

A specialist in neuro-rehabilitation, she worked constantly with the ambition of rehabilitating the elderly and disabled to help them regain control of their own lives.

Despite her serious accident, and due to her strong personality, Vicki has not lost her will to live. She is more than willing to overcome this hurdle, so that she can return to her passion - helping and bringing joy to others' lives.

Vicki is trying to go abroad for rehabilitation at a specialised spinal injury cenre in the UK. This is expected to incur substantial costs and her family and friends are appealing to the public's generosity.

Contributions towards helping Vicki may be sent to the Occupational Therapy Department of Zammit Clapp Hospital, St Julian's, or deposited at the HSBC account number 058-146515-050. Contributions will also be accepted at the Joy Gospel Singers concert.
