The government is to hand the Malta Gay Rights Movement €191,000 over a period of three years to assist it in the services it provides.

Social Solidarity Minister Michael Falzon said an existing agreement was being renewed, with the financial allocation increased by 38%.

The funds will be used for counselling, social work and legal assistance which members of the LGBTIQ community may require.
