The Museum of Contemporary Art in Florina, Greece recently acquired three paintings by Gozitan artist Justin Falzon.

The paintings were chosen from a multi-ethnic and multi-linguistic exhibition for students entitled Art Clash. The exhibition was organised on the occasion of Festa della Toscana 2008 and this year centred on the theme of work.

The Museum of Contemporary Art incorporates a collection of 500 paintings, sculptures and engravings, mostly by artists from Greece. The entire collection cannot be shown at the same time, but is exhibited in parts. Frequently, new acquisitions are presented to the public.

The museum, in co-operation with established artistic centres, periodically presents thematic exhibitions, along with private or group exhibitions by renowned artists and new authors who create innovative and experimental proposals of artistic expression.

Falzon, who has been a student at the Art Institute Lorenzo De Medici for these past four years, is now reading Fine Art. He will be completing the course and graduating in May.
