The festa season in Gozo came to an end last Sunday with the feast of Our Lady of Divine Grace at the Capuchin Friars sanctuary in Victoria.

Gozo Bishop Anton Teuma led a concelebrated solemn Mass, while Fr Philip Cutajar delivered the panegyric. The Diocesan Youth Choir, under the direction of Dorianne Portelli, took part.

Among those who attended Mass were Victoria Mayor Josef Schembri and vice mayor Brian Azzopardi, former Speaker Anton Tabone, Kevin Cutajar MP and Samuel Azzopardi, president of the Gozo Region and full member of the European Committee of the Regions and Gozo Football Association president.

In the evening, vespers were sung, followed by the kissing of the relic and the rosary. Anthony and Moses Galea animated the rosary.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the annual pilgrimage of motorcyclists and cyclists from Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary to the Friars sanctuary in Victoria had to be cancelled.
