"Castelain" (The Sunday Times, November 14) has once again decided to turn his or her attention to Heritage Malta and its operations in Gozo. The relocation of the administrative offices to the site which housed the armoury was no arbitrary decision.
The explanation behind this relocation has been already outlined in detail in a letter sent to the editor of The Times, which was carried on November 18.
It is not within Heritage Malta's philosophy or practice to engage in useless exchange which does little to enhance the status of cultural heritage of the islands. Heritage Malta has embarked on a strategy that clearly outlines the objectives earmarked for its six sites and museums in Gozo.
In early January, Heritage Malta is planning an information session with members of the public in Gozo to explore its strategy and objectives for the sister island.
We hope that "Castelain" and other Gozitans who have the cultural heritage at heart will make it a point to attend and contribute to the discussion at this meeting.
