The head of Kercem's Peter Paul Grech primary school, Mary Ann Schembri and teacher Lorna Camilleri attended a Comenius conference at Paul-Jean Toulet Elementary School in Guethary, a small city in southwest France.
In the past two years, the school has been part of the Comenius project Young and Old. The project is aimed at linking the past with the present. Seven European countries, including non-EU members, are involved in this project.
Ms Schembri and Ms Camilleri met colleagues from France, Germany, Hungary, Romania, the United Kingdom and Slovenia. They described this as an unforgettable experience, which opened up new horizons in their profession.
The students at Peter Paul Grech primary school prepared bookmarks for the children of Guethary Elementary School, a gesture much appreciated by the children's teachers.
Another project meeting is being held in Romania next February.
