The Gozo Sailing Club is hoping to get seaside premises to store its ever growing fleet.
Some members have donated windsurfing equipment to the club, but the club also wants to purchase a sailing school fleet, a racing fleet of sailing craft, as well as rescue equipment.
In February 2002, the idea of forming a club started being discussed among windsurfers, following the takeover of Ramla l-Hamra's management by the Gaia Foundation, which included an area used by the club for rigging up their seacraft.
Since then the club has grown both in terms of membership and in terms of activities, which cover sailing, racing and social events.
An interactive and updated website is handled by Thomas Gehrmann.
The club is affiliated with the Malta Sailing Federation and is exploring the possibility of organising joint events in Gozo together with other clubs from Malta.
