Problems affecting the tourism industry in Gozo were discussed at a meeting between a delegation from the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association led by its president, Anthony Chircop, and Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono.

Another meeting was held with the council of the Gozo Tourism Association and with Gozitan individual members of the MHRA.

Points suggesting amelioration for the better promotion of Gozo as a tourist centre, mainly improving the means of accessibility of tourists to Gozo and the further development of niche markets were raised and discussed.

The MHRA said it would forward suggestions to the competent authorities.
