Martin Gregory, coach of Division Three side Gharghur, has received a hefty four-month touchline ban.
It is understood that Gregory, a former Malta international in his first coaching job, was suspended for comments he directed at referee Mariano Debono after his side's 1-1 draw against Fgura on Sunday.
The Malta FA Disciplinary Commissioner came down heavily on Gregory as the latter has already been sanctioned for a similar offence earlier this season.
Gregory's suspension ends on May 13.
Meanwhile, Clint Micallef, the Birkirkara left-back, was the only Premier League player on the MFA suspensions' list yesterday. The 22-year-old Micallef, who replaced the injured George Mallia in Saturday's 2-1 upset to Hibernians, was banned for one match.
