A woman who pleaded guilty to perjury was yesterday conditionally discharged for two years by Magistrate Carol Peralta.

Gaetana Xuereb, 55, of Birkirkara was accused of giving false testimony under oath on January 28 in a criminal case against Martin Vella.

Inspector Mario Bonello prosecuted.

Dr Franco Debono appeared for Xuereb.
