Two teenage girls yesterday pleaded guilty to stealing a bank card from a gymnasium locker and withdrawing Lm200 cash.
The girls, a 16-year-old from Birkirkara and a 17-year-old from Hamrun, pleaded guilty to stealing Angela Borg's mobile phone, a fiver and a bank card from a locker at the St Aloysius gym in Birkirkara on April 15.
They also pleaded guilty to withdrawing Lm100 each, making malicious use of the card, defrauding Borg and Bank of Valletta, and to three counts of forgery.
The case was put off for judgment but the girls were meanwhile granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm1,000 each.
Police Inspector Kevin Farrugia prosecuted.
Dr Emanuel Mallia and Dr Giannella Caruana Curran appeared for the girls.
