A Gzira man of Egyptian origin was yesterday given a two-year jail term suspended for three years and fined Lm250 for offering pen knives and gravity knives for sale.

Samir Abdul El Nasser Youssef Ahmed, 37, pleaded guilty to offering the knives for sale, forging 35 Oakley objects and breaching copyright. Magistrate Saviour Demicoli noted that Ahmed had cooperated with the police and had changed his ways.

Police Inspector Edel Mary Camilleri prosecuted.

Dr Frank Cassar appeared for Ahmed.
