A 25-year-old man was yesterday conditionally discharged for two years when he pleaded guilty to seriously injuring a man in a factory almost three years ago.

Tarcisio Sammut, of Kalkara, pleaded guilty to injuring Tarcisio Borg at the Farsons Brewery in Qormi on August 23, 2002.

On handing down judgment Magistrate Giovanni Grixti took Sammut's criminal record into consideration.

Police Inspector Maria Stella Cutajar prosecuted.
