Jeremy Camilleri has stepped down from his role as secretary of the Government and Parastatal Workers' Section of the GWU.

The union said Mr Camilleri in his resignation letter had said he was stepping down with regret because he felt the time had come to pursue other challenges.

He would continue to help out until a successor is appointed.

The union thanked Mr Camilleri for his many years of service.
