The GWU has warned of further industrial action at Enemalta unless the corporation stops outsourcing its credit control work to a private company.
The union in a statement said it could not accept a situation where work was outsourced while the corporation's own workers were idle, more so since the collective agreement had provided for re-training.
In view of the fact that the government had repeatedly said that Enemalta had excess workers, this outsourcing of work did not make sense and was creating tension among the workers, the union said.
