Appogg employees have set up the Appogg Children's Fund to help children who live in poverty and disadvantaged situations.
The fund is aimed at assisting children directly or through their carers, in meeting the basic or special demands they may have.
"Situations arise where these children need material support immediately, and where carers are unable to provide this support. This is particularly true in situations where children require food, clothing, medication, uniforms, books, payment for a school outing or project, sportswear, visits to a medical consultant or any specialised treatment," the agency said.
One of the first fund-raising activities is a hairdressing marathon being held tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Fringes Unisex Salon 9, Triq il-Wilga, Tarxien (turn right at the Tip-Top roundabout at Fgura and follow the signs). The public is invited. Appointments may be booked by phoning Claire on 2180-1146 or 7970-4936
Wella will be sponsoring all the products used.
