A member of the Grand Priory of the Order of St Lazarus has come up with an idea to organise a half-marathon to help fulfil Monica Tonna Barthet's dream, who sold all her possessions to build a house for the street boys of Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.

The walk-a-thon, led by Roderick Grech and his wife Fiona, will leave Mdina on February 28 at 9 a.m. for a 21.1-kilometre trek to the Sliema Ferries.

Individuals, NGOs and companies who are interested in setting up a team and joining must register by tomorrow against a fee.

Those interested can also register for the prizes in the contest. Sponsorship forms are available for download from www.stlazarusmalta.org or by phoning 9947 5566. Donations can be sent to BoV bank account number 4001 8408 667 under the name of MHOSLJ Half-Marathon for Charity.
