A total 122 cases of theft investigated by the CID this year have been solved, Home Affairs Minister Carm Mifsud Bonnici said this morning. 229 cases had been reported.

Replying to a parliamentary question by Nationalist MP Franco Debono, the minister said that 51 people were arraigned, 23 of whom were found guilty. The case of 28 was still pending.

The minister said that the CID investigated 643 cases in 2008, 641 in 2009, 570 in 2010 and 583 last year.
