Ħamrun Spartans have set up an Action Committee which comprises former club presidents and other officials, the Premier League club announced yesterday.
One of the Action Committee's main objectives is to intervene in the dispute with the relatives of the late Victor Tedesco, the club said in a statement.
Ħamrun Spartans also dismissed reports that they have been involved in negotiations over players' transfers.
"As a matter of fact, during the Extraordinary General Meeting held on January 2, for which Patricia Calabretta (daughter of the late Tedesco) was present, it was decided that every effort should be made by the club to keep Ryan Fenech (currently on loan with Sliema)," the Spartans said.
Earlier this week, the family of the late Tedesco asked the courts to bar Ħamrun Spartans from selling or loaning its players to other clubs during this month's transfer window over money owed to the former president who passed away last year.
