Harbours project to cost Lm13m

The Cirkewwa quays project is expected to cost Lm13 million by the time it is completed in 2004, Transport Minister Censu Galea told Mr Evarist Bartolo (MLP) in reply to a parliamentary question yesterday. He said Lm4.9 million have been spent so far.

The Cirkewwa quays project is expected to cost Lm13 million by the time it is completed in 2004, Transport Minister Censu Galea told Mr Evarist Bartolo (MLP) in reply to a parliamentary question yesterday.

He said Lm4.9 million have been spent so far. The work done so far involved the upgrading of the existing quays, land reclamation for the building of the sea passenger terminal, extension of quay one and the rebuilding of quay two at Mgarr Harbour and traffic management work.
