The Gzira culvert at Reid Street corner with The Strand has been blocked for months. Every time it rains, water accumulates at this junction in such a way that passers-by cannot cross Reid Street or step on the pavement from the road without getting their socks wet.
Pedestrians often have to walk quite close to the middle of the busy main road to avoid the large puddle, risking being hit by passing vehicles.
Is it too much to expect the Gzira council to attend to this long outstanding problem before someone gets hurt?
