I would like, on behalf of many Maltese citizens, who like me have had heart problems, to sincerely thank these God-sent "angels" who give much more than 100 per cent towards their profession.
I needed an angiogram and consequently an angioplasty and that is how I came to meet Mr Fenech. His optimistic and cheerful character makes patients feel better even before he performs any operation.
After procedures he keeps contact and is always available when needed, even though most post-treatment problems are psychological, his positivity helps us a lot.
I happen to know Mr Manchè through his favourite pastime, which is music, since I am a musician myself. I have met and spoken to many patients who were under his care and underwent open-heart surgery and heard only positive comments about his dedication to his profession before and after treatment.
Once more I really feel proud and lucky that I know these two surgeons who give their hearts to their patients.
One also has to thank and not forget all the cardiologists, doctors and nurses, who work at the Cath. Lab and CICU, who perform their duties with such care and dedication.
