With Christmas fast approaching, parents, grandparents and other family members will be scratching their heads to come up with a gift that will be both educational and fun.
Alan Montanaro, principal of the Helen O'Grady Academy branch in Malta, is launching a gift scheme where children may be enrolled into the acclaimed international academy in January.
Students will attend a one-hour lesson each week of the school year. For the convenience of parents and guardians, studios have been set up at different locations.
The concept and philosophy behind the academy is to provide children with a drama programme designed to increase their confidence, self-esteem, communicative ability and creative talents.
This is done through a carefully constructed, progressive syllabus covering speech, movement, creative drama, language development and studio productions. Lessons are also lots of fun.
"The academy takes a very naturalist approach to teaching drama. We believe in nurturing the innate talents of all our students to ensure each one is encouraged to grow in a warm, positive learning environment," Mr Montanaro explained.
