Help from Mission Fund

On behalf of our missions in Brazil, I would like to thank the Mission Fund of Malta for the financial help forwarded to us - Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart - so that we could provide food, clothing, basic needs and educational material to children coming from very poor families.

Without such help it would have been difficult if not impossible to offer a helping hand to those who mostly need it, as these are deprived of the barest necessities of daily life.

I urge all Maltese, who are well known for their generosity and kindness, to help us through the Mission Fund by sending to this fund financial donations for this purpose. Help can also be given by sending to the fund used stamps and used telecards - everything helps the mission in Third World countries!

We promise our prayers to all benefactors, dead or alive; the Lord, however, has the best reward even for those who could only provide "a glass of water".
