A Libyan man was yesterday charged with importing seven heroin-filled capsules into Malta on Thursday.

Omar Mohamed Mehemud Erayani, 29, pleaded not guilty to importing the heroin, possession of the drug in circumstances denoting it was not for his personal use and conspiracy.

He was remanded in custody.

Police Inspector Norbert Ciappara prosecuted.

Dr Anthony Cutajar was legal aid for Erayani.
