As expected, Hibs Medsea and Ergon Projects Luxol will contest a third final between them this season after disposing of Honey Athleta and St James Hospital in the semi-finals of the women's BOV KO last weekend.

A depleted Athleta side were no match to Medsea as the latter potted the opening eight points and never looked back.

Though Athleta showed signs of improvement, Hibs continued to hold the edge as they changed ends 29-12 ahead.

Mario Tabone's girls continued to dominate after the interval as their lead increased to 48-15. It was only in the last ten minutes that Athleta came more into the picture.

Medsea, the MBA Shield winners, eventually won 56-25.

In the other semi-final, Luxol had a rather confused start but soon shifted into gear in a low-scoring opening two sessions.

At the break, Luxol led 18-13.

With St James unable to up their game, Louis Borg Cup winners Luxol went on to record a 46-30 victory.
