Hibs Medsea strengthened their grip on top spot in the Women's League after beating mid-table side Loyola Allcare Insurance last weekend to extend their perfect run to 10 matches in the championship.
Depiro McDonald's moved up to second with victory over Honey Athleta while Starlites Sports Experience are still without a win this season after going down to St Andrew's 52-45.
Hibs were without key players Lucienne Bezzina, Doreen Micallef and Alexis Darmanin but were still too good for Loyola as they surged to a 20-4 lead at the end of the opening quarter.
The champions kept up the tempo but after changing ends 36-16 in front, they eased up only for Loyola to fail to get back in contention. Hibs eventually ran out comfortable winners, 52-34.
Khalia Agius was central to Depiro's hard-earned victory over Athleta. They took control early on and 10 consecutive points gave them a 19-9 lead. Athleta hit a good patch in the closing stages of the second session but Depiro remained on top to go in for the interval 42-25 ahead.
In the third quarter, Athleta continued to show signs of improvement. Inspired by Leanne Sciberras, they managed to bridge the gap and pull within nine points of Depiro, 56-47, at the start of the final session.
But, hard as they tried Athleta could not seize the initiative and Depiro won the match 71-60.
