Hibs Medsea completed a 112-101 aggregate victory over rivals Depiro McDonald's to retain the Louis Borg Cup. The champions went into yesterday's second leg with a three-point lead after winning a tight first leg 48-45 on Friday. The exchanges during yesterday's decisive match were balanced with Hibs edging the first quarter 16-15. Hibs embarked on a 12-0 run in the opening stages of the second session but Depiro rallied to narrow the deficit to eight points by half-time, 36-28. The improving Depiro refused to give in and their efforts saw them level the score at 50-all at the start of the last quarter. Five consecutive points boosted Hibs who fended off Depiro's final efforts to emerge 64-56 winners. Depiro's Kalia Agius topped the scoresheet with 34 points over the two legs.
