Although personality plays an important role, it is acknowledged that the management and development of people is a science, which can be studied so as to become a good and professional manager.
People management is a specialisation that is of interest not only to the human resource professional or to those who wish to pursue a career in this field, but also to those professionals in other fields of study who aspire for a managerial position.
The Centre for Labour Market Studies, University of Leicester, through its local agent, the FHRD, offers one of the best solutions to meet these needs. Also 13 Masters graduates will in July attend their graduation in Leicester (more on which will be carried in next month's FHRD page).
