Hiker rescued by emergency responders after suffering broken leg in Nadur

The woman was taken from the scene by boat

A woman was rescued by emergency responders from the Civil Protection Department (CPD) on Saturday morning after breaking her leg while walking in the area of Nadur, Gozo.

In a Facebook post, the CPD said the woman was taken from the scene by the department’s Delta 1 boat due to the difficulty of the terrain and limited access to the area.

She was then transferred to Mġarr Harbour before being transferred to a medical team from Gozo General Hospital for further treatment.

The CPD extended its thanks to the Malta Police Force and Goz General Hospital emergency department for their assistance.
