The Archbishop, Mgr Joseph Mercieca will conclude the diocesan process for the beatification of Mgr Guzeppi De Piro, founder of the Missionary Society of St Paul on Saturday, the Curia said yesterday.

The acts of the process will then be sent to the Holy See through the Postulator of the Cause for the Beatification, Mgr Charles J. Scicluna, to be considered by the Congregation for the Causes of Saints.

The conclusion of the process will take place at the end of a Pontifical Mass at Mdina Cathedral at 6 p.m. to mark the liturgical feast of the Conversion of St Paul.

The preacher will be Fr Anton Sciberras, vice-Postulator of the Cause for the Beatification of Mgr Guzeppi De Piro.

The programme to mark the feast will start on Friday at the Cathedral at 5.30 p.m.
