Casa Arkati, a privately-owned home for the elderly in Mosta, was awarded the Home Of The Year Award for 2002 by CareMalta.

CareMalta operates Casa Arkati and three other homes for the elderly: Villa Messina, in Rabat and the government homes in Zejtun and in Cospicua.

Casa Arkati won the award for the second year running following a series of assessments carried out throughout the year in each home operated by CareMalta.

Casa Arkati distinguished itself by achieving and maintaining the highest of standards in the fields of general administration, management and care, drug administration and storage, resident management and home environment, a CareMalta spokesman said.
