A docile Great Dane, probably once used as a fighting dog, is up for adoption.

The Association for Abandoned Animals said the dog had been roaming aimlessly in the Msida area for around three weeks before it was caught.

Both of the dog's ears have been clipped, a cruel practice normally associated with dog-fighting.

Anyone wishing to adopt the friendly dog is asked to call Freddie Fenech on 79297930.
