Horrifying scenes

Are we the same generous, compassionate giving humans that jump at any occasion to help those in need? Are we the same humans that made news all over the world for the help and aid we provided for the recent tsunami tragedy victims?

We, the Maltese American community, are appalled at the recent barbaric behaviour shown on the Maltese newspapers' online news. We are now labelled "The migration bird hunter/killers" and "The migrant beaters".

Will the Maltese authorities take an advantage of today's technology and closely view the newspaper photos so that they may bring those caught red-handed to justice?

Can part of the punishment be having those that took pleasure performing such hideous act apologising on live public television so we can all continue to maintain our worldwide reputation of being a generous population?

The last time I witnessed such a scene was on a movie screen - The Gladiator. Is that what the soldier who wanted to be hero had in mind when swinging his truncheon and beating an innocent powerless human being?
