A karozzin driver was slightly injured this afternoon when his horse bolted and damaged two cars in Valletta.

The incident happened at around 3.15 p.m. outside the Upper Barrakka Gardens. It appears that the horse was frightened by a passing truck. It bolted over low bollards and down St Ursola Street, with the cab dragged on its side and the driver somehow holding on to the reins in an attempt to control the animal.

A car parked at the top of St Ursola Street suffered a broken rear windshield while another was badly dented. The horse was brought to a stop at the corner with Battery Street, with the driver under the cab.
