Golden Shepherd Group Limited yesterday filed a libel suit in the Magistrates' Court against the author of an article in Il-Gens.

Golden Shepherd Group Limited claimed it had been libelled by an article headed "Tlett tobba jistghu jkunu investigati", written by Fr John Avellino and published on October 5 in Il-Gens.

Golden Shepherd claimed that the article alleged that St Philip's Hospital had charged Lm24 for each injection of the drug Augmentin, when this was sold on the market for Lm2.21.

The court was requested to order defendant to pay libel damages.

Dr Paul Pullicino signed the writ.
