Members of the Graffitti Movement yesterday protested near the US Navy destroyer Barry (DDG-52), which has been in Grand Harbour since Sunday. The movement is against the presence of foreign warships. Around 15 youngsters, watched by an equal number of policemen, carried a banner reading Warships Kill and showed pictures of children in war zones. The protest coincided with a reception on board the vessel. The Barry is here on a visit to mark the 100th anniversary of the "Great White Fleet", a historic US Navy goodwill voyage around the world that included a stop in Malta in January 1909.
