Hotel guests increased by 14.3% at the end of last year
Most of the increase was in four-star hotels
Hotel guests increased by 14.3% in the last quarter of 2025 compared to the previous year, official data issued on Monday shows.
The National Statistics Office said guests numbered 716,536.
Total nights spent during the period under review reached 2.96 million, an increase of 11 per cent over the fourth quarter of 2024.
During October-December 2025, the largest share of guest nights (49.7 per cent) was reported in 4-star hotels.
The average length of stay decreased slightly to 4.1 nights compared to the figure registered during the same quarter of 2024. The net use of bed-places stood at 59.8 per cent, up by 0.9 percentage points.
On a national level, during December 2025, there were 347 active collective accommodation establishments with a net capacity of 23,343 bedrooms and 53,626 bed-places.
