HSBC Call Centre and Fimbank grabbed the honours in an international tournament for bankers, staged at the Melita FC ground recently.

In the men's final, HSBC came from a goal down to beat APS Bank 2-1 in a keenly-contested match.

Equens (Holland) finished third with Central Bank taking fourth place ahead of the Equens team from Germany and Italy.

The women's final was also a balanced affair with Fimbank having the better of HSBC (Malta). In the third place play-off, HSBC (Call Centre) defeated Equens (Holland/Germany/Italy).

J.C. Tonna, of HSBC Call Centre, was named best player of the men's tournament and Maria Debattista, of HSBC Malta, captured the women's equivalent.

Alessandro Pirrone (HSBC Call Centre) and Debattista were the top scorers while the Fair Play trophy was awarded to the Equens women's team.
