HSBC launches Flexicredit 'Great summer offer'

This summer, HSBC Bank Malta plc is offering a one per cent discount on the normal interest rate of eight per cent for any new Flexicredit loans taken out up to July 31.

New Flexicredit loans, which may be taken for any amount between Lm250 and Lm10,000, will benefit from a discounted rate of seven per cent. This specially reduced interest rate will be retained throughout the whole period of the loan.

Credit product manager Chris Cini said: "HSBC's Flexicredit has been specifically designed with the customers' needs in mind, by providing a convenient way to purchase anything from cars to antiques, paying for a wedding reception or a holiday without stretching budgets unnecessarily.

"Thanks to this offer from HSBC, borrowing with Flexicredit has now become even more affordable."

HSBC's Flexicredit allows customers to take out an unsecured loan equivalent to not more than a year's salary. This can then be repaid over five years. HSBC customers, who already have Flexicredit loans not amounting to more than the equivalent of a year's salary, may also apply for new facilities at the reduced rate offered during this period.
