HSBC Malta Funds Sicav plc holds AGM

HSBC Malta Funds SICAV plc held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on August 1. During the meeting, members approved the annual report and Audited Financial Statements for the year ending March 31 2003. Professor Edward Scicluna was re-appointed Chairman.

HSBC Malta Funds SICAV plc held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on August 1. During the meeting, members approved the annual report and Audited Financial Statements for the year ending March 31 2003.

Professor Edward Scicluna was re-appointed Chairman. Mr Joseph D. Camilleri and Notary Clyde La Rosa were re-appointed directors. KPMG were re-appointed as auditors.

HSBC Fund Management Managing Director (Malta) Limited Mr Joseph D. Camilleri gave a brief overview of recent developments in the local and international markets and responded to a number of queries raised by the investors present.

Mr Kristian Cassar from HSBC Fund Management (Malta) Limited gave investors a detailed explanation on the very satisfactory performance of the Malta Bond Fund and the International Bond Fund throughout the past year. Mr Cassar also presented HSBC's views on how markets are expected to perform in the months ahead.
