HSBC services extended

HSBC is expanding the range of services available to its customers during the evenings.

Five HSBC branches, those in Merchants Street, Valletta, High Street, Sliema, Mosta, Paola and Victoria, which already offer an evening service between 4 and 7, will now also be able to provide specialist services relating to wealth management, home loans and personal loans products. Account opening facilities will also be available.

"Until now, most of the bank's services have only been available during our morning hours and this has meant customers having to take time off work, just to go to the bank.

"From now on, all HSBC customers can visit one of the bank's five area branches and obtain the service they require until 7 every evening," HSBC's head of personal banking, Ray Briffa said.

Although teller cash services will not be available, HSBC's customers will be able to make use of deposit machines and ATMs located in these five branches. HSBC staff will be available to show customers how to make the best use out of these additional automated services.
