HSBC Bank Malta plc and Malta Enterprise have signed a reciprocal agreement through which HSBC has become an official supporter of the Malta Enterprise Awards. The agreement to support the awards, launched last month, was signed by Joe Zammit Tabona, chairman of Malta Enterprise, and Martin Wilkins, chief operating officer at HSBC.

Mr Zammit Tabona said: "The fact that HSBC has become a partner and supporter of this important activity organised by Malta Enterprise is very encouraging for us."

"Malta Enterprise plays a pivotal role in helping Maltese companies expand both in local as well as overseas markets. These companies are the backbone on which the future economic prosperity of Malta must be built," Mr Wilkins said.

Awards will be presented in five categories. Two business awards will be presented in the Industry Category and the International Marketing Category and three Entrepreneurship Awards will be presented in the Concept, Start-up and Small Enterprise Growth categories.
