A popular wedding venue has been converted into an interactive tourist attraction in an effort to exploit its historical value.

Built during the reign of the Knights of Order of St John, Castello Dei Baroni, on the outskirts of Mġarr, was used as a hunting lodge but was lately exclusively catering for weddings.

However, its doors will now be open to the public on weekdays. A tour will begin with an audiovisual presentation about the history of the Order of St John followed by a guided tour of the grounds.

Former pastimes and sports, such as falconry, are also on display and participants can also try their hand at archery.
