Easter is a good opportunity to spend some quality time with family, and the new issue of Child, out with the Times of Malta on Saturday, packs in plenty of ideas for parents to organise activities, including an Easter egg hunt, crafts and recipes to bake along with children.

Now that the days are getting warmer, the great outdoors are there to enjoy, a potential stage for activities that help children to appreciate nature and respect it from a young age.

As for education, Child looks into a pilot project taking place in schools, where children are attending Latin literacy classes. The aim is to help them grasp modern languages more easily and aid their creativity.

Also helping creativity is a series of innovative storytelling workshops being held for schoolchildren.

Child interviews young female waterpolo player Kendra Navarro, making a name for herself and her team on the national and international levels.
