October 20 of each year was designated as International Chefs' Day, aiming to celebrate the profession in bringing it to the attention of the public, the media and the hospitality industry.
The Malta Cookery and Food Association is asking all restaurateurs, hotels, clubs and catering outlets to come up with an idea or innovation with which they could mark this event.
The Malta national team of chefs, which is promoted and represented by the MCFA, will be participating at the World Cookery Olympics in Germany on this day, together with teams from many other countries.
The MCFA has invited all those interested in participating in the programme for the day to send a short proposal of the idea by e-mail or post to the Public Relations and Communication Officer, Malta Cookery and Food Association, c/o Institute of Tourism Studies, St Julian's.
