Ramos: Sevilla coach Juande Ramos is set to quit the club to take over at Tottenham Hotspur, Spanish television station Antena 3 said last night. He is not expected to be on the bench for tomorrow's Primera Liga fixture at home to Valencia, after speaking to club president Jose Maria del Nido and sports director Ramon "Monchi" Rodriguez at training in the morning.

Zalayeta: Napoli striker Mar-celo Zalayeta says he will be respectful if he scores against former club Juve tonight. "I was at Juve for eight years. If I score I will not celebrate," he told reporters.

Canizares: Valencia keeper Santiago Canizares would make his 300th Primera Liga outing for the side if he plays against Sevilla tomorrow. The ex-Spain international, who turns 38 in December, joined Valencia from Real Madrid in 1998.

Pennant: Liverpool's Jermaine Pennant will be sidelined for about 10 weeks because of a fractured leg. The club said: "For the last eight weeks Jermaine has undergone intensive treatment between matches. But following an acute exacerbation of the problem during the game against Besiktas it has now been decided he requires surgery."
