Robben: Inspirational winger Arjen Robben could return for Chelsea against Barcelona in their Champions League second-leg match on Tuesday, manager Jose Mourinho said yesterday. Robben, who broke two bones in his foot during a Premier League game against Blackburn on February 2, has made a swift recovery and has been training with the first-team squad for a week. "He has a chance, but not of playing for 90 minutes," Mourinho said. "There will be no pressure on him. If he cannot play, he cannot play."

In France: French professional club soccer lost far less money in the 2003-2004 season than in previous years with an improvement of nearly 75 per cent in the clubs' financial situation in one year. The annual report of the Professional Football League's financial watchdog showed that Ligue 1 had lost €35.8 million last season compared with €151 million in 2002-2003.

Touchline Ban: Sevilla coach Joaquin Caparros has been banned from the touchline for one match after being sent off during his side's UEFA Cup victory over Panathinaikos last week. Caparros was sent off for straying on to the pitch in the final minutes of Sevilla's dramatic 2-0 victory over the Greek side after receiving several warnings from the fourth official not to leave his technical area. The ban means the 49-year-old will have to watch the first leg of next week's UEFA Cup last 16 tie at home to Parma from the stands.

Docked Three Points: Hungarian first division club Videoton have had three points deducted for failing to pay a debt to their former player Predrag Gajic. The Hungarian Soccer League said that the club still owes the Serbian €14,700.
