In pictures: Floriana hosts Isle of MTV

Crowds descended on the granaries in Floriana Tuesday night for the 17th annual edition of Isle of MTV Malta.

Audience members jostled to the front of the crowd, eager to secure a good vantage point for their favourite acts, with headliners Damiano David, Ella Henderson and DJ Alok set to grace the stage.

This year's Maltese Eurovision entry Miriana Conte and last year's entry Sarah Bonnici took to the stage together first at around 8pm, joined by backing dancers – and plenty of attitude.
