I wish to add to my letter (June 29), and in addition to the letter by Frank Scicluna (July 2).

May I point out that further to exposing Maltapost for their "service", which has gone down to the extent of not delivering post to their clients, it now transpires that the letter which was posted to me on (or about) June 9 arrived home on July 1 after my complaint was carried in The Times.

This was a local letter posted to me by my insurance agent, consisting of the insurance cover and the car licence paid by the agent as well as the log book etc. I have already highlighted to what extensive trouble and cost I had to go through to effect everything anew in this case.

This is nothing when one considers that the letter finally arrived with a "Redirected mail" tag stuck on top of the post mark bearing the date. It was (obviously) received by Maltapost and subsequently stamped accordingly.

The redirection was due to my changing residence but the hiding of the date stamp is obviously indicating that someone at Maltapost is not doing one's job properly. When I peeled the tag I could not read the stamp as it was obliterated by the glue of the tag itself.

The second item (a packet with a computer cable ordered from abroad) that was posted about a month ago has not even arrived.

What is happening? We are paying these people to do a job and not ignore us. Why does no one take action? We should sack the company that is presently doing the job and look for some other company that will be a credit to its name. It is about time that someone takes action. It is useless that the Maltese community complains and no action is taken!
